We are happy to present the seventh Newsletter of 2021 to you!
In this edition of our Newsletter, we will inform you about the following topics:

- Pride week / March
We will begin this month's newsletter exactly as we started last month's: More news about Pride Week!
As you've probably heard, Pride March Bucharest was held in the end (a relief, isn't it? ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙). And although there were a feeeew more participants, most of them, including the members of Volt Romania (◦'ںˉ◦), wore masks!
The March participants colored Calea Victoriei in a rainbow, as they did in previous years, but it seems that this year's edition was more desirable, more cheerful and more colorful than those the previous editions. ≧ '◡' ≦
We enjoyed Pride Week in Bucharest with a series of activities, for example: workshops with interesting activities, screenings and, for the first time, activities in Pride Park.
Then, in Timisoara, the week was full of exhibitions, screenings, tours, discussions, music and good cheer!
And, last but not least, Timisoara! Pride Week took place between the 6th and the 14th of August, a week where each day was filled with something colorful. Participants enjoyed coming out stories, queer speed dating, queer football, evenings, workshops, screenings and much, much more!
This year's Pride Week took place in 3 cities, starting with Bucharest, continuing with Timisoara and ending with Cluj. A week full of more and more beautiful activities. You just needed energy and good cheer! ヽ (^。 ^) 丿 ヾ
- Internal Meeting at Bucharest
Next month, Volt Romania will have an internal meeting on September 13. We will socialize, find time to get to know each other face-2-face better, while holding and participating in interesting and useful workshops!
Of course, we will keep you up to date with what is happening through this newsletter, but also on our social media accounts Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
- Reunion Brașov
Next month, between September 17-19, the Volt Romania team will have a reunion at Brașov! (/*a*)/
There we will enjoy teambuilding and work sessions, which will certainly be very useful in the near future, and we will participate in the Connecting Europe Express event! ✌ (◕‿-) ✌
- Participation in the German Electoral Campaign
The German Federal Elections in 2021 are expected to take place on September 26, 2021 to elect members of the 20th Bundestag. Volt Germany has started its campaign for these elections.
Volt wants to ” tackle the major problems of our time pragmatically and progressively and become the voice of European unification in the Bundestag. We want to shape our future.”
Some policies from their electoral program are: ”A sustainable and intergenerational market economy that sees opportunities instead of obstacles in decarbonization, entrepreneurship and digitization. A policy that promotes structural and technological innovation and improves the lives of all people with a socially acceptable basis.
We are making Germany climate-neutral by CO2 by 2035 and climate neutral by 2040. With a self-determined digital transformation with opportunities for every person.” ;
“A society in which everyone can participate and live a healthy life. A community that provides education, a resilient health system and financial resources to support in difficult life situations. A society with a strong social cohesion to jointly tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow, in the city and in the countryside. A society in which plurality is recognized as normality. In which discrimination is combated and equal opportunities and the participation of all are central.”
