Newsletter October 2021
Dear Volters,
We are happy to present October's Newsletter to you!
In this edition of our Newsletter, we will inform you about the following topics:
- The General Assembly of Volt Europe
- The General Assembly from Bucharest
- Electoral program 2020
We wish you a happy and informative reading! ( ͡o ω ͡o )
- The General Assembly of Volt Europe
IT HAPPENED!
Officially, Volt Europe has a new Board!
Francesca Romana D'Antuono of Volt Italia and Reinier van Lanschot of Volt Netherlands were elected co-presidents; Anouk Ooms, Thor Larholm, Lucia Nass, Lucas Amorelli Ribeiro Kornexl, Ines Consonni and Charles Evain were elected non-executive members of the board and Johannes Heinrich was elected treasurer.
Congratulations, dear ones! (っ◔◡◔)っ ❤
The Volt Europe General Assembly was a real success! A truly incredible event, not even possible with so many incredible people, which was really appreciated if we look at the more than 1,000 Volt members present. (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)👌
In addition to the new Board, some other interesting things happened… ٩ (˘◡˘) ۶
The first is that: "Volt has announced an alliance with the Cypriot party Neo Kyma. Volt will support Neo Kyma during the 2023 Cypriot presidential election, and Neo Kyma will officially become the Volt Cyprus in the 2024 European elections. Both the Volt and Neo Kyma movements believe in strong citizen participation and are actively working to create a more sustainable, more modern and more digita life in Europe, "said Reinier van Lanschot, Co-President of Volt Europe.
" We are excited to work together for the upcoming elections. "(ノ ͡> ͜ʖ ͡<)ノ
We are excited to start this new chapter together! (っ ͡ಥ ͜ʖ ͡ಥ)っ🎔
The second is that we will soon have a new member! Wondering who? Well it's… Francisco Guerreiro, a member of the Greens / EFA group in the European Parliament! He will join Volt Portugal at the end of his term.
But, of course, because we are Volt, we like to have fun almost as much as we like to work to change Europe!
- The General Assembly from Bucharest
Just because the Lisbon General Assembly is over, doesn't mean the fun is over or you don't have a chance to meet us in person!
This time, you can observe us in our natural habitat, Romania, without having to travel for 3 days and 3 nights.
We will meet in Bucharest between December 4 and 5 if the epidemiological situation will allow us.
We will bring with us good cheer and equally good ideas, as we have become accustomed to so far. ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡
If you have interested friends, don't be afraid to bring them! The more the better! See you there!
- Electoral program 2020
How many of you have read our election program head-to-tail? That's what we thought.
¯\_( ͡╥ ͜ʖ ͡╥)_/¯
To help you explain to your loved ones that no, we do not have a single goal, Volt launches a new series that will highlight and explain our political program, in short, the explanation being accompanied by an educational video.
The posts will include topics from categories such as the Smart State, the Economic Renaissance, Social Equity, etc.
Of course, we will keep you up to date with what is happening through this newsletter, but also on our social media accounts Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
That’s all for this month, 👋≧◉ᴥ◉≦
With best wishes, stay healthy!
