- Party foundation
Maybe it is getting boring already… again the topic of founding the party.
Well, yes, once again this topic, but we promise: it will be the last time!
Why?
Because on 19.02. the Court of Appeal cast its final and uncontestable decision:
Volt România is allowed to register as a political party!
You can imagine what this means to us. We are more than happy!
Now the real work begins, but the team is eager, so we are prepared to face the tasks of the next couple of months.
We will keep you, of course, updated on what is happening via this Newsletter but also on our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
And don’t forget the old saying: sharing is caring!
- Press release and feedback
Although we sent a press release only on 26 of February, mass media had spread the news before, right after the verdict was announced, on Monday.
The effects were immediately reflected in an increase in membership inquiries.
But when we released our press release, things went crazy! An unexpectedly high number of media platforms published our message, and within a week, we received dozens of membership requests.
At the same time, the interactions on our SM platforms shot to unimagined heights.
The attention surprised us a bit, to say the least. Among the most notable news materials are those on Adevarul.ro (RO), ProTV.ro (RO) and RomanianInsider.com (EN). If you search for the keyword Volt România, you should quickly find it on other platforms. In short: we have our hands full at the moment, and we are working on special Volt shifts!
- Communication
First of all, we would like to make you aware of two new features of our website: it is now available in both languages, English and Romanian. Roxana has adopted the new Volt Design, and we think it really looks great and reflects the spirit and dynamic of Volt!

Second thing, we will start two campaigns on social media, one explaining to the public what Volt Europa and Volt România are, how they work together and what sets Volt apart from other parties in Romania. Just make sure you get your notifications about Volt România on your preferred social media platform so you can follow the campaign.
The other campaign will circle around the upcoming national elections in the Netherlands on 17.03.
The polls show that there are real chances that Volt Netherlands gets 1 or 2 seats in the Parliament. So, of course, we would like to support their effort and hopefully reach some expats from the Netherlands in Romania and encourage them to vote for our colleagues there. Additionally, we would like to make people aware of the pan-European aspect of Volt.
- Strategy Process
In the last newsletter, we announced our strategy workshop for March 6th.
However, since our two event leaders come from the Netherlands, they asked us to postpone the workshop due to the large amount of work caused by the upcoming elections.
In all likelihood, the workshop will now take place on Saturday, April 10th. Here, too, anyone registered as active members is invited to participate.
Volt România is gaining momentum. Be there when it comes to determining the direction for the road to 2024!
- Monthly Meet & Greet
As you know, this is a monthly event that takes place every last Friday of the month at 8:00 p.m. This is one of the best ways for those interested to know our team and Volt's principles. Therefore, we would like to ask you to communicate this as often as possible if you are asked about how to contact us. Of course, you are also cordially invited!
